Angus cattle are a naturally genetically horn-less breed and fit perfectly into the Pannonian damp grass landscape. They are highly appreciated for their undemanding and peaceful character. We keep approximately 300 mother cows and calves at present and our goal is to eventually extend the number of mother cows alone to 300.

Angus cattle are genetically a hornless breed which lost its horns in the course of evolution.
Horns are of fundamental significance to biodynamic and Demeter-regulated farming.
The horn is a part of the harmonious metabolism of a cow and does have a major influence on the quality of the milk. Angus cattle have compensated for this function by developing a higher forehead and scull. The latter becomes bigger with increasing age.

The supply with natural dung promotes life within our soils, maintains them in a healthy condition and strengthens their inherent properties. Research has shown that biodynamic agriculture practised within the Demeter framework is the only method of farming that gives back more to the soils than it takes out.
